Christine Borland
Monday 23 July 2007
Christine Borland uses a range of media including sculptural installation, video and photography to investigate human identity and sense of self, often with reference to medical science and its practices. Over a 3-year period Borland has worked in residency at the Peninsula Medical School at Royal Cornwall Hospital, Treliske. The results of this research are revealed in With Practice, a challenging installation of new work at Newlyn Art Gallery in which the audience is invited to participate.
Dr Virginia Button will lead a tour round the work, allowing people to participate and ask questions in order to gain a greater understanding of the concepts and ideas explored by Borland.
