Interaction

The Interaction Programme at ProjectBase exists to create a greater understanding and enjoyment of contemporary art. It does this by actively providing opportunities to interact with contemporary artworks and artists, and participate in creative activity developed for non-art and art audiences. The programme aims to help audiences gain knowledge of contemporary art through thought, experience and the senses, by using creative and communication tools and actions. The Interaction Programme is delivered at our exhibition venues and at other places such as schools, colleges, community centres and public spaces.

ProjectBase aims to meet a range of access requirements throughout all areas of the Interaction Programme and does this through consultation and considered programming of activities, and Communication and Interaction tools. The Interaction Programme aims to encourage and support children, young people and intergenerational groups from local and visiting communities to debate and initiate critical enquiries into the visual arts.

The Interaction Programme consists of four core areas; Public, Young Public, Research and Development, and an Interaction and Interpretation Toolkit.
